Mira Siegel
Musician.
Mira Siegel is a young, upcoming Danish-American composer, songwriter and singer, based in Aarhus, Denmark. Daughter of both a composer and a writer, she has grown up a creative and searching soul. With her ethereal voice and pensive, wistful music she manages to create her own personal musical atmosphere.
Mira draws a good part of her lyrical inspiration from fairy tales and myths and her music contains elements from traditional folk music, pop, classical music and world music.
Mira created the three compositions responding to the beautiful audio narratives in the project "Sun Up, Rain Falls, River Rises" by Phosphoros Theatre. Diving in to the the touching descriptions and emotions of each narrative, she attempts with her music to recreate and reinforce the changing atmospheres of each story. The music responds to the narratives and each emotion described. It functions as everything from strong rivers to children running through wet fields to dangerous armed men.
