Parham Ghalamdar

Parham Ghalamdar is an Iranian born painter and researcher currently based in Manchester, UK.
Ghalamdar’s practice is focused on contemporary painting, although he has created artist books, murals, animations and etc. among other mediums. His practice is heavily invested in the histories and traditions of western painting while playfully engaging with the current political and social subjects with a humorous approach.
Ghalamdar collaborated with the Journeys Festival International to deliver a series of artist talks and a temporary photography show on art, politics and protest in Iran at People’s History Museum in 2019. This was an attempt to shed some light on the contemporary Iran and to narrate the unique context shaping life and art.
