After the Storm is an original short film created by Phosphoros Young Company, following the journey of two characters - Andreas and Bger who are separated after a storm. They must find their way back to each other across mountains, lakes and forests - forming new friendships along the way.
Using a mixture of puppetry, movement and illustration, Phosphoros Young Company lead us on a journey of imagination and discovery.
Phosphoros Young Company is a drama group for young people from refugee and asylum-seeking backgrounds. Having moved from the Unicorn Theatre in London to working online in March, the group is now made up of people from all over the UK.
Journeys Festival International is pleased to support After The Storm.

Don’t miss Sun Up, Rain Falls, River Rises, a series of audio narratives to listen to at sunrise, after the rain and when you’re walking by water. (link to Sun Up, Rain Falls, River Rises event page)
Phosphoros Theatre moved their young company very swiftly online when lockdown hit in March. After working with groups across the country during Refugee Week in June, they discovered the potential of bringing together young people from beyond London.
After the Storm is a collaborative project allowing young refugees and asylum-seekers to create a story and characters together, despite being many miles apart.
