My Jerusalem is a solo performance derived from a song. A politically charged tale of a drunken one-night-stand, infused with stories of growing up in the political turmoil of 80’s Israel. The show has evoked strong emotions and reactions, with Avital being labelled both an ‘Israel hating antisemite’ and a ‘zionist racist’.

The show contains swearing and references to sexual abuse.

Your Jerusalem is a short documentary exploring audience reactions to the piece and the polarised responses it has evoked.

Watch My Jerusalem and Your Jerusalem and BSL interpreted versions both of here.

Avital will take part in an Instragram Live Q&A on Sunday 11th October at 5pm. Please follow @journeysfest to join in and you can send questions in advance here.
