Journeys Festival International 2015

The third Journeys Festival International took places in Leicester as part of the City Festival. This was the first year that the Festival's Look Up outside art exhibition took place, with Behjat Omer Abdulla exhibiting his briliant drawings for the Leicester public to see.
The programme also included Coffee Shop Conversations, talks and discussions, a film programme and a live music stage.

2015 Projects included:
Photoworks with Anna Sherbany
A series of creative workshops with refugees and asylum seekers from the city introduced them to creative skills that they used to curate their own self portraits.
The portraits were exhibted at the 2015 Platforma conference.
With thanks to Leicester City of Sanctuary and After 18.
Alongside the Platforma conference, Journeys Extra hosted a series of talks and workshops on the theme of "Art and Refugees".
The rich, creative programme featured live music from Haymanot Tesfa, Danto Aya and art exhibitions from Hong Dam and Behjat Omer Abdullah.
