Here you will find an inspiring collection of books exploring the experiences of refugees and asylum seekers and that tours our Festivals in vintage suitcases. Flick through award winning novels, beautifully illustrated children’s books and short stories and poems suitable for all ages.

 

Look out for our suitcases throughout the Festival at North City Library, Wythenshawe Forum Library, Longsight Library, Central Library.

 

In the lead up to and during the Festival, the books will feature in regular story telling sessions at these libraries:

 

  • Wythenshawe Forum Tues 9 Oct   11.00am – 11.30am

  • North City Library Tues 9 Oct   10.30am – 11.00am

  • Central Library Tues 9 Oct  10.30am – 11.00am

  • Longsight Library Thurs 11 Oct  2.00pm – 2.45pm

  • Central Library Sat 13 Oct  Autism - Friendly Story 10.00am – 10.30am

  • Age group 4-7 years (flexible depending upon the needs of the child).
