23 - 26 October 9.00am - 5.00pm

University of Portsmouth, Eldon building

Amongst the destruction of his beloved Aleppo (Syria), 13-year old Mohammed Kteish resolved that he would rebuild the city – reconstructing the fallen landmarks first as paper models and then in virtual reality.

Mohammed’s model of Aleppo will be on display at the University of Portsmouth, alongside the virtual reality installation – through which you can travel inside and experience the city of Aleppo as Mohammed remembers it.

Portsmouth in Paper

Tuesday 23 October 10.00am – 12.00pm

Join Alex Pearson, Creative Producer of Future Aleppo, for a fun workshop aimed at children which will re-create Portsmouth using paper models. Which landmarks would you keep and what would you replace?

The finished models will help create a new virtual Portsmouth, which you can experience on Friday 26 October.

The workshop is free but booking is required.

Book here: Portsmouth in Paper

Can’t make the workshop? There will be drop in activities running each day to help

contribute to the new virtual city.
