Look Up: Searching for Home

Svetlana Ochkovskaya

19 - 28 October

Various city centre locations

LOOK UP is a high impact visual arts exhibition, which this year takes the form of an exciting digital project from artist Svetlana Ochkovskaya.

Working with members of the refugee and asylum seeker community, and reflecting on her own experiences, Ochkovskaya presents a series of short moving image pieces, using green screen technology to explore the different layers which make an individual’s identity and which move with us and increase as we migrate.

Svetlana is creating the work in residence at Aspex from 19 September – 21 October (Wednesday – Sunday), where you can talk to her about her work.

Look out for the work on screens across Portsmouth throughout the Festival including: Aspex Gallery, The Big Screen, Southsea Library and Fratton Park on Saturday 20 October.

You can also join in our Coffee Shop Conversation with Look up Artist Svetlana Ochkovskaya at South Library on 24 October. Look Up - Coffee
