Global Kitchen Recipe Book
In partnership with Soft Touch Arts and Volunteer chefs led by Linton Magume
June 15
Held in collaboration with Soft Touch Arts, Leicester City of Sanctuary, British Red Cross and ArtReach, our Global Kitchen cookery session have been uniting our community and breaking down barriers between people through their love of food.
The Global Kitchen recipe book is a celebration of those dishes so far; the people behind them, and an important milestone in the success of this project so far. By coming together in the kitchen, our volunteer chefs can share their stories of home, and hopefully inspire you to try new recipes, new flavours, and to reach out and learn more about your fellow community.
Featuring beautiful illustrations from renowned illustrator Emma Dibben and recipes from Eritrea, Iran, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan and India, it is the perfect recipe book for budding and adventurous chefs of all ages.
All money raised from the sales of the book goes straight back into the project as we look to welcome back our in-person sessions later in the year.
Books are priced £10 and are available to buy directly from Harriman & Co, Soft Touch Arts and ordered online from Etsy: Global Kitchen.
You can also enjoy images from pre-covid Global Kitchen community meals and Chef training below.
Global Kitchen was delivered in partnership with Soft Touch Arts. Crowdfunded by Spacehive with additional donations from British Red Cross Family Refugee Integration Fund, BID Leicester, Leicester City Mayor’s Community Fund and Ward funding.
