ArtReach ( is delivering its Journeys Festival International event ( in Manchester for the first time from 1st – 12th October 2016.

Working across a wide range of creative media and disciplines, Journeys Festival International aims to bring the exceptional talent of local, national and international refugee artists into the public eye. Journeys Festival International combines live music, workshops, theatre, performance, film, discussion, exhibitions and pop-up events to create a vibrant and engaging programme of events.

In addition to the core team that produces and stage manages the Festival, we are seeking a team of enthusiastic volunteers to help share information at our visual arts projects and workshops, support artists and to help audience’s complete evaluation questionnaires, that will enable us to effectively assess the impact of our work. We hope that participating in the event will provide a rewarding and enjoyable experience!

Volunteers (aged 18 +) are needed from Wednesday 5th – Wednesday 12th October and shifts can be arranged around your availability. Volunteers will have a full briefing on Sunday 2nd October 4:30pm – 5:30pm at Nexus Arts Café (then stick around to watch They Will Have to Kill Us First with the team!).

As well as full expenses, we are offering our volunteers the opportunity to have a one-to-one hour long session with Journeys Festival International Producer Charlotte Mountford on Tuesday 1st November. This will be an opportunity to ask questions, have a CV surgery, seek advice and find out more about Young Producer opportunities with ArtReach in 2017.
