Breakfast Elsewhere is an interactive food performance that tries to answer this from the perspective of a cook who has come from several homes: Palestine, Saudi Arabia and Syria.

The evening consists of three interactive break-out workshops, led by artists and speakers from the fields of visual arts, performance and fact-based research, who work with refugee and asylum seeker communitites across Europe.

4. Look Up Art Walks

Sun 20 August at 11am

Sun 20 August at 1pm - SOLD OUT

Thurs 31 August at 6.30pm

Where? Start at LCB Depot, LE1 1RE

What? Look Up is an outdoor visual arts exhibition and this year the festival presents Foreigner: Migration into Europe by British Journal of Photography's International Photographer of the Year 2017, Daniel Castro Garcia.

Foreigner gives a personal identity to the people caught in the 2015 - 2016 'European migrant crisis' - the largest migrant movement since World War II. The striking portraits offer the viewer an emotional connection to the subject, rather than the degrading imagery often used by mass media.

Arts educator Gina Mollet will be hosting a series of Art Walks throughout the festival so make sure you join us to hear about these amazing stories of the subjects.

Can't make the Art Walks? Tune in at 10am on Sunday 20th for a LIVE Art Walk through @JourneysFest Facebook Page.
