MIGRATE exhibition for Refugee Week

May 16, 2018

For Refugee Week, Journeys Festival International invites you to:

A Unicef NextGen London exhibition presenting new photography exploring global migration by eight international photographers.

Launch event Monday 18 June from 5pm.

Over six days, we have a full program of events planned around this exhibition. Full list of events coming soon.

MIGRATE was founded in the hope of engaging fellow Londoners to have a conversation about the ongoing refugee crisis; the only rule was that the participating photographers had to use instant analogue film, which was donated by manufacturers The Impossible Project (now called Polaroid Originals). Unlike digital images, “polaroids” are physical and develop in the moment, which makes the photographer’s interaction with the subject more personal, while their small scale requires viewers to stand close and engage with the content. find out more: http://nextgenlondon.com/migrate/

Location: Lightbox Gallery, LCB Depot
31 Rutland Street, Leicester LE1 1RE
