Volunteering with Journeys Festival International
Journeys Festival International celebrates the creative talent of exceptional refugee and asylum seeker artists and shares refugee experiences through great art and culture.
Produced by ArtReach, the Festival takes place at various locations and venues across the cities of Leicester, Manchester and Portsmouth each year.
Through a wide and exciting range of creative media and disciplines including live music, workshops, theatre, performance, film, discussion, exhibitions and pop-up events, Journeys Festival International aims to bring the exceptional talent of local, national and international refugee artists into the public eye.
Want to be a part of this? In addition to the core team that produces and manages the Festival, we are on the look for a team of enthusiastic volunteers.
No minute will be the same as you go from helping share information with the public, support the talented artists and workshops before gaining a deeper appreciation of working in the arts by helping with evaluation tasks.
We will cover expenses for volunteers and anticipate that this should be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for volunteers from any background.
Volunteers (aged 18+) are needed throughout the year in each location.
Volunteers will have a full briefing in each city ahead of each event and main Festival.
